Women's Leadership Conference

Women’s Committee

Several members of the North Carolina Farm Bureau Women’s Committee attended North Carolina Farm Bureau’s Leadership Conference in Durham March 14-15. The conference enhanced their advocacy skills and gave them an understanding of the current political climate. They also engaged in discussion with other volunteers regarding how to have an effective legislative program in their county. On March 15, at Ag Awareness Day, conference attendees exercised what they learned at the conference by visiting the General Assembly. Farm Bureau members met with their elected House and Senate members to strengthen their relationship and advocate for issues affecting family farms.
