Jane Lee Rankin’s book dives into the journey she took to open her own farm in the Appalachian Mountains as a single mother. She shares personal tales of being a cancer survivor, pregnant and single, and the challenges as a first-generation farmer and first-time mom in a new community.

Today, Rankin is a national agritourism advocate. She invites visitors to her alpaca farm and encourages visits to other local farms. To learn more or order the book, go to janeleerankin.com and applehillfarmnc.com.
