Maxwell Road “Endless” Yard Sale Celebrates Sampson, Cumberland County Neighbors

North Carolina residents know how to throw a state-wide festival, so it’s no surprise that intimate community celebrations can be found in any corner of the state. Every second Saturday in August, Sampson and Cumberland county neighbors gear up for the Maxwell Road “Endless” Yard Sale.

But this isn’t a single yard sale: the celebration features crafters, vendors and representatives of local products. One resident hosts more than 50 vendors at her home alone, including bouncy houses and a whole hog barbecue.

The fifth annual event takes place on Aug. 10, 2019, and follows an extensive 25-mile route that extends across Sampson County into Cumberland County. Residents and visitors can find reasonably-priced “like new” products starting at the Sampson County Farm Bureau office on Hwy. 421 all the way to Maxwell Road.

Between the growing number of participants and the number of visitors from South Carolina and Virginia, the Maxwell “Endless” Yard Sale is getting bigger and bigger every year.
