WILKES COUNTY Farm Bureau board member Gary Blake represented North Carolina in the Southeast Sunbelt Expo/Swisher Sweets Farmer of the Year competition Oct. 16 in Moultrie, Ga. He was nominated for the prestigious award by his daughter-in-law, Brenda Blake. State YF&R Committee members Heath and Kelli Blake are Gary’s grandchildren.
