STANLY COUNTY Farm Bureau member Brooke Harward was recently crowned Miss American Angus. She competed against four other young ladies from across the U.S. for the opportunity to represent the Angus breed as an ambassador for agriculture. She is a freshman at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, majoring in ag business. She is a member of N.C. State’s collegiate Young Farmers and Ranchers committee, was a 2010 IFAL participant and is a Stanly County Farm Bureau scholarship recipient. She is the daughter of members Marcus and Patty Harward.
