RANDOLPH COUNTY Farm Bureau member Thomas Gilmore, co-owner of Gilmore Plant & Bulb Co. in Liberty, recently marked 100 years of the family business. Gilmore owns the business with his sons, Dwayne and Dell. The company was profiled in North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Notes, where it was noted that the nursery’s plants can be found at The White House, the Pentagon and the Jefferson Memorial, among other places. The company was founded in 1912 by Gilmore’s father.
