Mitchell County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee had a booth at the 69th Annual Rhododendron Festival to raise money for its agriculture scholarship. They sold rhododendrons and raffle tickets for a quilt, and had a tractor complete with hay, tools, overalls and hats to take farm pictures. They raised $621 to go toward the 2015 scholarship goal of $1,000, which is matched by the board for a total scholarship of $2,000.
