Perquimans County

Perquimans

Rena Eure and Hazel Eure with the Perquimans County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee recently visited to Hertford Grammar School to read the Farm Bureau book of the year, First Peas to the Table, to each of the eight third-grade classes. After reading the book, they provided an opportunity for all 160 third-graders to plant peas in a cup. Students are going to document the growth of their peas using their iPads and the Timeline app. At the end of the lesson, the Eures presented the book and lesson plan companion book to literacy coach Julie Roberts.
