Wake County
Wake County Farm Bureau hosted NCFB Ag in the Classroom for a K-8th grade teacher workshop at J&J Thompson Farms. The workshop provided 17 teachers with knowledge and resources while they explored a local farm producing tobacco, grains, wheat, soybeans, and cucumbers. Teachers left the workshop with classroom-ready activities and lesson plans aligned directly to the Common Core and State Essential standards, while equipping them to educate students about their local sources of food and fiber.
