Surry County
Surry County Farm Bureau donated $6,700 to the Surry County Sheriff’s Department to be used to purchase a trailer to be used in their Impaired Driving Prevention program. The trailer will haul a golf cart and special goggles to be used to demonstrate the effects of driving while impaired. The program is taken to schools and used at area events. It was used at the Surry County Farm Bureau’s Member Appreciation Day on May 22, 2014.
