Above: In honor of Reading Awareness Week, on March 17 the Hyde Women’s Committee read “Oh Say Can You Seed” to Claudia Lewis’ second-grade class at Ocracoke School on Ocracoke Island. They had a great response from the class of 12.
Hyde County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee provided lunch for the first Rabbit and Chicken Show. Hyde County 4-H sponsored the event at the government center in Swan Quarter, N.C., on Nov. 2, 2013. There were 20 participants and a gathered group of about 50 people.
