New Hanover County
Dr. Lisa Buchanan of University of North Carolina Wilmington was awarded the Ag in the Classroom ‘Going Local’ Grant. The New Hanover County Farm Bureau’s board of directors held a luncheon in her honor and presented the check. Dr Buchanan works with students aspiring to become teachers at UNCW, and her project will provide for numerous student-teachers to be able to access accurate agricultural literature for use with their students in a regional area surrounding Wilmington.
