Clay County NC Beeman

Clay County

Clay County Farm Bureau and Clay County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee shared The Beeman, the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Children’s Book of the Year, with Clay County school children. On April 8 and 22, Becky Danielson and Benita England visited Hayesville Elementary School, Hayesville Middle School and Carolina Christian Academy to read the book to second-, fourth- and fifth-grade students. After each reading a copy of The Beeman, the women donated both an educator’s guide and The Bee Ag Mag to each school to be placed in their media centers. North Carolina Farm Bureau and Clay County Farm Bureau continue to foster and awareness of the importance of agriculture in all our daily lives, and help children understand the connections between agriculture and wholesome foods that sustain our lives.
