Wake County
Wake County Farm Bureau was a sponsor of the Southern Farm Show Kick-Off Breakfast held on Feb. 4, 2014, at the Hunt Horse Complex. Wake County Farm Bureau President Jackie Thompson (pictured far right with his family) was given the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Farm Bureau hosted its Annual Legislative Breakfast on March 3, 2014, at Pam’s Farmhouse. Ninety-one people attended to show their continued support of agriculture in Wake County. Local farmers, agricultural leaders, elected officials and candidates running for office attended this event. The Wake County Farm Bureau Women’s Committee gave out safety door prizes and presented Wake County FFA advisors with Agriculture Safety Bags for Agriculture Safety Awareness Week.
Wake County Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers toured the NCSU Beef Educational Unit on March 27, 2014.

Wake County Farm Bureau hosted a Wake County Commissioner’s Luncheon on April 14, 2014. The Wake County Farm Bureau Board of Directors used this time to show appreciation for their continued support of the agricultural community and to remind them that agriculture is still “growing strong” in Wake County.

Wake County Farm Bureau celebrated the new Fuquay-Varina Sub-Office building with a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 16, 2014. The Fuquay-Varina Sub-Office is located at 1441 N Main St., Fuquay-Varina, N.C. 27526.
