James David Brooks, 65, died Feb. 6, 2015, at his home not far from where he was born in Granville County. David returned home to farm after graduating from N.C. State University. He then moved on to real estate appraising and served on many boards during this time. He served on North Carolina Farm Bureau’s Board of Directors from December 1992 to January 2015.
