On the Local Level Fall 2013

IREDELL COUNTY Farm Bureau Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee hosted a dairy promotion event, June 22 at Tractor Supply in Statesville, in honor of National Dairy Month and Iredell’s rank as the state’s top dairy-producing county. YFRs distributed drinkable yogurt donated by Origin Food Group, milk from Maola and educational materials from the NC Animal Agriculture Coalition and the Southeast United Dairy Industry Association. Youngsters also had a chance to milk a model dairy cow.
