VANCE COUNTY Farm Bureau and NCFB State Board member Talmadge “Pete” Burgess Sr. has been honored by Vance County commissioners with their Community Hero Award for his contributions to agriculture and to the community as a whole. He’s been very involved recently with the launch of a regional farmer’s market.
