SURRY COUNTY Farm Bureau and the local Soil & Water Conservation unit hosted a luncheon for the Legislative Tour of the Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program on Nov. 2, 2011. Among those present were N.C. Sen. Don East, NCDA&CS Chief Deputy Commissioner David Smith, Surry County Farm Bureau President David Haynes, county board members, Surry County Commissioner Eddie Harris and members of the local Soil & Water Conservation unit. About 50 people attended the luncheon and program.
