MACON COUNTY Farm Bureau board members Vic and Tim Teague and Alicia Teague hosted an agriscience class from Franklin High School at their farm. Devon Deal, wife of County President Joe Deal, is the class’ teacher, and Tim’s daughter Savannah is a student in the class, which was studying agriculture inventions and commodities. Tim Teague talked to the students about silage production and demonstrated harvesting silage. Savannah showed classmates her show steer.

MACON COUNTY Farm Bureau Women’s Committee held a Farm-City Breakfast in Franklin during National Farm City Week, Nov. 21, 2011. The event was well-attended and highlighted the importance of agriculture in Macon County, including crops and livestock grown, lifestyle and scenery farms provide and the impact of agriculture on the local economy.
