No Till

No-till farming, or zero tillage, is a way of growing crops from year to year without disturbing the soil by breaking it up. When soil is tilled, it can be blown away or be washed away by rain, which can contribute to pollution and erosion. By not tilling their fields, farmers can keep soil in place – and the soil is more likely to retain necessary moisture, requiring less water usage.
