Harrison and Taylor Jenkins of Iredell County own and operate Westward Farms, a diversified farm consisting of broiler breeder chicken houses, row crops, a wildlife feed business and agritourism events. The couple met at NC State University and have two children, Caroline and Carter. Harrison is the fourth generation on this century farm, which started as a dairy in the early 1900s. He works as an independent sales representative with a seed company and serves on the NC Soil Health Coalition board, Iredell County Farmland Preservation and Iredell County Extension advisory board. Taylor serves on the NC State College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Alumni and Friends Society board.
