Head to Monroe for a day of family fun at the Eighth Annual Union County Heritage Festival and Wild Turkey 5K this September. This year’s festival theme is “Thriving with Nature,” and the event will include a 4-H Expo, gardening talks, vendors, contests, live music, crafts and cooking demonstrations, and much more. So don’t forget to sign up for the festival’s annual Wild Turkey 5K Trail Run and Walk, which begins at the Union County Agriculture Center at 8 a.m.
