Mark your calendar for this year’s Farm to Fork Picnic in the Garden taking place Sept. 25 at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont. Sponsored by Piedmont Culinary Guild and the Center for Environmental Farming Systems, the event pairs some of Charlotte’s best chefs with local farmers and food producers in a celebration of local food and farms. After a two-year pause due to safety concerns during the pandemic, the picnic returns in 2022 featuring more than 30 of the Charlotte area’s finest chefs and area farmers working together to create dishes highlighting the delicious seasonal bounty of local farms for the community to enjoy.

Guests will have the opportunity to sample locally sourced foods and beverages from more than 25 tasting stations, meet chefs and farmers, and listen to live music while enjoying the beauty of the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden.

Not only is the picnic a delicious way to spend an afternoon, it also benefits North Carolina farmers. All proceeds from the event go to support agriculture and food system training programs at the Center for Environmental Farming Systems and farmer grants at Piedmont Culinary Guild.

The event runs from 4 to 7 p.m. at 6500 South New Hope Road in Belmont. Tickets are $110 per person, which includes drinks, and may be purchased through the Farm to Fork Picnic in the Garden Eventbrite.
