CATAWBA COUNTY Farm Bureau hosted an agriculture-focused Candidates Forum Oct. 2 at the Newton-Conover Auditorium. Participants included candidates for the U.S. House, N.C. Senate, N.C. House, county board of commissioners and school board. Candidates were asked questions about agriculture. The county Farm Bureau provided refreshments after the event, when attendees could speak one-on-one with candidates. About 100 people attended.
