HAYWOOD COUNTY Farm Bureau was the lead sponsor this year of the Haywood County Fair and donated $32,500. On Aug. 24, all of the county’s public school fourth-graders came to the fair and rotated through stations where they learned about agriculture. They had the opportunity to milk a real cow, and then have a snack of milk and cookies. The students visited a station where board member Terry Rogers taught them about Farm Bureau, crops and livestock and other farm products made in the county.
