HAYWOOD COUNTY Farm Bureau Board and Women’s Committee members, from left to right, Mary Coker, Marlene Ferguson, Marie Ferguson and Barbara Ross had a booth at the Ingles Supermarket in Waynesville to promote Food Checkout Week. They gave out 5 $20 gift cards and nutritional information, farm facts and coupons for North Carolina products, while talking to shoppers about where food comes from and the advantages of buying local.
