Farm Trivia Nights
On the last Wednesday of every month, Newgrass Brewing Co. in Shelby hosts Farm Trivia Night, sponsored by the Cleveland County Farm Bureau. Board member Dennis Martin came up with the idea as a way to raise awareness of agriculture while providing education and fun. Questions range from “How many farms are in Cleveland County?” to “How many eggs can a chicken lay in a month?” No matter the question, Farm Trivia Night sparks great ag-related conversation. The brewery was the perfect place for Farm Trivia due to its dedication to local agriculture, from displaying local sources of food and drinks to hosting the Foothills Farmers Market in the winter months.
