Mecklenburg County
Robert Pittenger, congressman for most of Mecklenburg County, spoke at the county’s annual meeting in November 2013. He discussed several issues Congress was dealing with at the time, including health care and the farm bill. He invited everyone to contact him if they have a question or opinion on any issue.

Norman Chapman, better know as Storming Norman, spoke at the Mecklenburg County Farm Bureau annual meeting on Nov. 4. He was selected to participate in the Institute for Future Agricultural Leaders (IFAL) this past June at NC A&T University. Norman spoke of his experience while attending IFAL. He thanked the group for allowing him to participate in this program. He hopes to major in chemistry after graduating from high school and pursue a career with a major ag chemical company. Mecklenburg County wishes him well!
