BLADEN COUNTY Farm Bureau Women’s Committee held its first “Ag Tastes Good” ladies night out event July 26 at the Powell Melvin Agriculture Center in Elizabethtown. Committee members cooked dishes made from local and N.C. farm products for the tasting event, and attendees were encouraged to buy local, fresh products. Attendees included members of the State Women’s Committee; members from Bladen, Robeson, Columbus, Sampson, Cumberland, Hoke, Pender, Richmond, Scotland, Brunswick and New Hanover counties; and Bladen County Cooperative Extension staff. Attendees took home an Ag Tastes Good recipe book with recipes from the event.
