Haywood County Farm Bureau board member Terry Rogers distributed hats and more during Forage Field Day at the Mountain Research Station in Waynesville.HAYWOOD COUNTY Farm Bureau provided sun-safe hats and sunscreen to all registered attendees at the annual Forage Field Day at the Mountain Research Station in Waynesville. Farm Bureau wanted to offer the materials there because farmers who produce hay are usually exposed to the sun frequently. The event included agenda items such as fertilization, weed identification and control products, dealer-provided equipment displays and field demonstrations and forage nutritional information.
