A young boy had just gotten his driving permit. He asked his father if they could discuss his use of the family car.
His father said, “I’ll make a deal with you. You bring your grades up, study your Bible, and get your hair cut, and then we will talk about it.”
A month later the boy came back and again asked his father if they could discuss his use of the car.
His father said, “Son, I’m real proud of you. You have brought your grades up, you’ve studied your Bible, but you didn’t get a haircut!”
The young man waited a moment and replied, “You know, dad, I’ve been thinking about that. You know Samson had long hair, Moses had long hair, Noah had long hair, and even Jesus had long hair.”
His father replied, “Yes, son, and they walked everywhere they went!”

A North Carolina Highway Department employee stopped at a farm and talked with a farmer. He told the farmer, “I need to inspect your property for a possible new road.”
The farmer said, “OK, but don’t get out in that pasture over there.”
The man flashed his identification card and said, “I have the authority of the State to go anywhere I want. See this card?”
So the farmer went about his farm chores. It wasn’t too much later that the farmer heard loud screams and yelling. He looked over and saw the man running for his life, and right behind him was the farmer’s huge prize bull. The farmer yelled out, “Show him your card….Show him your card!”
