Find Unique Farmhouse-Style Pottery From Bristow Pottery in Asheboro
Randolph County Farm Bureau member Laura Bristow makes unique, hand-thrown pottery in Asheboro.
Hannah Lewis |Randolph County Farm Bureau member Laura Bristow, owner of Bristow Pottery, makes unique, hand-thrown pottery in Asheboro. Since 1995, Bristow has spent every free minute in her backyard pottery shop. After being mentored by Seagrove master potter Sid Luck, Bristow started her own business.
Today, she makes farmhouse-style pottery fired in a salt groundhog kiln or electric kiln. Bristow offers practical pieces for daily use in the home like soup bowls, mugs, vases, sugar bowls, honey pots, utensil holders and serving bowls, as well as crocks, jugs, pitchers and pots.
Bristow is the sole artist behind the operation and completes the entire process herself, from purchasing the clay and firing the pieces to making the glazes and photographing the work to feature online.
All pottery listed on her Etsy page is one of a kind, so customers purchase the exact piece listed in her shop and won’t have a wait time for the piece to be made. Visit etsy.com/shop/bristowpottery to learn more and shop online. You can also find her work for sale at Roasted Coffee Depot in Graham, Luck’s Ware in Seagrove, the North Carolina Pottery Center in Seagrove and Mudslingers Pottery in West Jefferson.

Pottery is reflective of nature.
It’s a creation that evolves from the creator of each piece that comes from the soul–the beauty from within. All are unique and in the eye of the viewer the heart beats with enthusiasm at seeing the hand of the creator. Thank you for that blessing.
