Cover Crops
Designed to suppress weeds, build more productive soil and help control pests and diseases, cover crops might be the hardest-working plants that a farmer can grow. Cover crops help to slow erosion, increase organic matter and have been shown to increase crop yields, which help farmers grow more food and feed more people. Popular cover crops include various types of legumes, oats and barley.
