PERQUIMANS COUNTY Farm Bureau Women’s Committee crafted underarm pillows for breast cancer patients as one of their yearly projects. Committee member Linda Phthisic, a breast cancer survivor, suggested the project. The women worked on the pillows during monthly meetings and presented them to Dr. Antonio Ruiz and staff at Carolina Surgical Care to share with patients.
