Wake County

On Nov. 25, Barham Farms in Wake Forest hosted the 2014 Annual Wake County Farm City Day Luncheon, sponsored by Wake County Farm Bureau and Wake County Cooperative Extension. Farmers, Wake County FFA members, agricultural organizations, agribusinesses, elected officials and many other supporters of agriculture came together to show their appreciation for agriculture. As part of the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Harvest for All campaign, the Wake County Young Farmers and Ranchers collected 229 pounds of canned food, which was donated to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
