North Carolina Blueberry Festival

Sweet blueberries are a North Carolina staple, and each year, these bountiful berries are celebrated in Burgaw at the North Carolina Blueberry Festival.

The family-friendly event celebrates the historic, economic and cultural significance blueberries have for N.C.’s southeast region, specifically Pender County, which was the first county to grow cultivated blueberries in the 1930s. The festival attracts more than 30,000 visitors for entertainment, antique cars, delicious food from an array of vendors, and of course, lots of blueberries.
