N.C. Strawberries

North Carolina is expecting a record strawberry crop this season, with some of the sweetest berries in years, thanks to the cooler weather. Farmers need your help to get on the farm and pick their delicious crops.

To help with the abundance of berries, the N.C. Strawberry Association is encouraging consumers to pick and give berries to a food pantry, soup kitchen, nursing home or others in need, with a chance to win $500. Post a photo of your experience on the N.C. Strawberry Facebook page with your name, farm where you picked from, the charity you donated to and their phone number. Then, “Like” the page and you’ll be entered in the contest.

Strawberry season is in full swing, so get out there and pick! For more information, visit the Association’s website at ncstrawberry.com.
