Looking for more protein in your CSA box? Look into meat CSA programs, which operate the same way produce CSA models do.  Customers purchase meat shares from local farmers, and farms provide a set amount of meat on an agreed-upon schedule.

MeatSuite is a valuable online resource connecting farmers and consumers in North Carolina. Originally developed by Cornell University in 2012, MeatSuite was adopted by NC Choices at North Carolina State University in partnership with Cornell in 2020. Farmers list their offerings, and consumers enter their ZIP codes in the directory to find the bulk meat products they’re looking for.
