After spending time in Costa Rica learning about cacao and how to make chocolate, they relocated to Asheville and opened French Broad Chocolates. They started out of their home kitchen, selling online and at local farmers markets before eventually opening the French Broad Chocolate Factory & Tasting Room, where they handle every step of the process from roasting to wrapping. They also still own a cacao farm in Costa Rica.

French Broad offers sweet truffles, chocolate bars, brownies, chocolate drops and more, including a collection of truffles featuring ingredients grown and produced in the region. Learn more about how to order at frenchbroadchocolates.com.

I am a chocolate addict. When I worked (disabled 65 yr.old grandmother now) I would be tired and I would get me chocolate bar and tell the girls in the office I was getting me a Chocolate high and gave me energy to finish the day. The girls got a good laugh because I would bounce off the walls and finish my work. My favorite is Milk Chocolate of anything but I love Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Mmmmm good!!!! Can’t wait to come to your shop. I wasn’t aware of it. Thank you for opening one and looks and sounds like a Great one. See you soon.
