On the Local Level Summer 2013
Left: ASHE COUNTY Farm Bureau Women’s Committee and Ashe Outreach Ministry’s Outgrow Hunger program sponsored a booth at the 2013 Ashe County SpringFest April 19 & 20 at Westwood Elementary School. They used My American Farm’s “My Miniature Greenhouse” curriculum to help 250 students plant basil seed to take home. Willy the Safety Squirrel passed out coloring books.
Right: BLADEN COUNTY Farm Bureau Women’s Committee visited the N.C. General Assembly to speak with legislators about legislation and issues related to farmers, ranchers, rural North Carolina and the state as a whole. They met with N.C. House Speaker Thom Tillis, Rep.
