Bakers’ Southern Tradition Peanut Co., headquartered in Roxobel, grows Virginia peanuts on the Baker family’s Bertie County farm to make a variety of snacks. Its flavors range from Carolina Cajun to Choco-Scotch to roasted-in-the-shell peanuts.

Aunt Ruby’s Peanuts, located in Enfield, began as a feed, seed and fertilizer store before its owners tested the waters of the mail-order peanut business. The company in Halifax County, one of the largest peanut-producing counties in the state, offers raw shelled peanuts, honey roasted, roasted redskin, peanuts in the shell and more in its line of products.
