On the Local Level Fall 2013

ASHE and WATAUGA COUNTY Farm Bureau Women’s Committees sponsored a Farm Worker Safety event, executed by Ashe and Watauga Cooperative Extension offices, June 13 at Cline Church Nursery in Deep Gap. More than 200 farm workers rotated through stations focusing on safety with general health, transportation, pesticides and sprayers, fire extinguisher use, insects and snakes and Christmas tree shearing. Demonstrations on PTO and Christmas tree entrapments were also featured.
